Terra Alimentaria strictly adheres to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (4th Edition, 2022), established jointly by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA), and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME).

  • Name of Journal: The journal name, Terra Alimentaria, is unique and registered to avoid confusing potential authors and readers about the journal's origin or association.

  • Copyright: Authors retain full copyright of their published work without restrictions. 
  • Licensing: All articles are published Open Access under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Licensing information is indicated on the full text of all published articles.
  • Access: We operate under a strict Open Access model. The journal and individual articles are freely available to readers immediately upon publication without subscription, registration, or pay-per-view fees.

Editorial Practices & Peer Review

  • Publication Ethics: We have clear policies on publication ethics, including how we handle allegations of misconduct, complaints, appeals, data sharing, conflicts of interest, and post-publication corrections/retractions. These are outlined on our Publication ethics page.
  • Peer Review: All research articles undergo a strict, objective Single-Blind peer review by at least two independent external experts. The workflow, evaluation criteria, and exceptions are detailed on our Peer review process page. Terra Alimentaria does not guarantee acceptance of initial submissions.
