To ensure absolute transparency regarding our business models and operational funding, Terra Alimentaria strictly adheres to the following policies in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
1. Revenue Sources and Editorial Independence
The operational and technical maintenance of Terra Alimentaria is financially supported through a combination of institutional support from our publisher, Nusaxis Pustaka Mandiri, and sustainable Article Processing Charges (APCs) paid by authors or their funding bodies upon the acceptance of a manuscript.
Strict Editorial Firewall: We maintain a strict separation between our revenue sources and the editorial decision-making process. The payment of APCs or any institutional sponsorship has absolutely no influence on the peer review process, the selection of reviewers, or the ultimate decision to accept or reject a manuscript. Editors and reviewers are blinded to the authors' payment status or waiver requests.
2. Advertising Policy
To maintain the integrity and objectivity of the scientific environment, Terra Alimentaria does not accept, host, or display commercial advertising on our website or within our published articles.
No commercial advertisements will appear on the journal's homepage, article landing pages, or within the full-text HTML and PDF versions of the articles.
We do not participate in targeted advertising programs based on reader behavior or article content.
Any announcements made on the journal website are strictly limited to academic calls for papers, journal news, or scientific events directly related to the journal's aims and scope.
3. Direct Marketing Policy
We are committed to ethical and responsible communication. Any direct marketing activities conducted by Terra Alimentaria or Nusaxis Pustaka Mandiri—such as soliciting manuscript submissions or inviting researchers to join our editorial board—are highly targeted, unobtrusive, and appropriate.
Truthfulness: All information provided in our marketing communications regarding the publisher, the journal's scope, indexing status, and publication metrics is completely truthful, verifiable, and never misleading.
Targeted Outreach: We only contact researchers whose published work aligns closely with the aims and scope of our journal.
Opt-Out Mechanism: Any direct email communications include a clear and easy mechanism for recipients to opt out or unsubscribe from future correspondence.
