About the Journal

Terra Alimentaria is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal dedicated to publishing high-quality original research, comprehensive reviews, and expert perspectives across the entire spectrum of food science and agricultural technology.

Our mission is to advance the global discourse in agrifood systems by providing a rigorous platform for researchers, technologists, and industry professionals to share their latest findings. We aim to highlight scientific advancements that support sustainable, efficient, and safe food production from farm to fork.

Digital Archiving and Preservation Policy

Terra Alimentaria is committed to the long-term preservation of its digital content. We understand that ensuring permanent access to the scholarly record is a fundamental responsibility of academic publishing.

To guarantee long-term digital preservation and ensure permanent access to the scholarly record, Terra Alimentaria utilizes the following archiving strategies:

  • PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN): Terra Alimentaria utilizes the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) Preservation Network. This decentralized, distributed preservation network securely preserves OJS journals, ensuring that content remains accessible even if the journal experiences a catastrophic failure or ceases publication.
  • National Library of Indonesia (Perpusnas): As part of our national compliance and preservation strategy, all published issues are submitted to and archived with the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia).
  • Self-Archiving: Authors are actively encouraged to self-archive the final published PDF of their articles in institutional repositories, national repositories, and personal websites immediately upon publication.

Target Readership

Our primary audience includes researchers, academic scientists, food industry professionals, nutritionists, policymakers, and graduate students who are engaged in food science, agricultural technology, and sustainable food systems development across the globe.

Authorship Criteria

Authorship in Terra Alimentaria is strictly limited to individuals who have made a significant intellectual contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. We strictly prohibit "Ghost," "Guest," or "Gift" authorship and encourage the use of the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT) to define individual contributions. Platform, Security, and Transparency

To guarantee a seamless, safe, and transparent experience for all stakeholders, our platform is hosted on the secure Open Journal Systems (OJS 3.5) framework with full HTTPS encryption. This ensures the protection of user data, submitted manuscripts, and peer review communications.
