Open Call for Editorial Board Members: Join the TROPHOS Team

Trophos Science of Food is an upcoming, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing the global dialogue in Food Science and Technology. As we prepare for our inaugural issue in June 2026, we are actively seeking passionate, experienced researchers and industry professionals to join our founding Editorial Board.

About the Role

Editorial Board Members play a vital role in shaping the journal’s scientific direction and maintaining its high academic standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Advising on journal strategy, scope, and editorial policies.
  • Participating in our single-blind peer review process by occasionally reviewing manuscripts or recommending qualified external reviewers.
  • Encouraging manuscript submissions from colleagues and your wider academic network.
  • Acting as an ambassador for TROPHOS within the global food science community.

Who We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from experts across the entire spectrum of our scope, including but not limited to: Food Chemistry, Food Microbiology, Food Safety, Food Processing and Engineering, Sensory Science, and Food Behaviour.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A Ph.D. in Food Science, Food Technology, or a closely related discipline.
  • An active research profile with a strong record of peer-reviewed publications.
  • Previous experience as a peer reviewer or editorial board member (preferred but not strictly required).
  • A strong commitment to the principles of open-access publishing and scientific integrity.
